In 1982, 1983, and 1984 I lived and worked at Kwajalein Missile Range in the Marshall Islands, which is the downrange part of the United States Western Space and Missile Test Range. My job there, as an electronics technician, was to operate and maintain some of the Missile Range's Optical missile tracking systems. Mostly I worked at SR1 (Super RADOT #1, a "Super" Recording Automatic Digital Optical Tracker), although I also worked on a RADOT (R1) and some Ballistic Cameras (B1a and B1B). As a result I had the unique opportunity to photograph and experience some very fascinating missile experiments.
