Bob Hampton's SADS II Radar

This radar was located on Okaloosa Island near Navarre Beach. The site was called "A17-A", and the radar's official designation was "SADS II". I worked at this site for a year in 1978-79. All of the equipment in the dome and building, and all information about the equipment here was classified. I had to have a Dept. of Defense "SECRET" clearance to work here. The only thing I can legally say about this radar is that SADSII stands for "Simulated Air Defense System #2".
