Stars on the Square
In Burnsville, North Carolina


Stars on the Square is a public astronomy event held quarterly on the town square in Burnsville, North Carolina. We turn off the lights on and around the town square and we detour the traffic - so we get to do "dark sky" astronomy from the middle of town! If you have a telescope bring it along. If you don't have a telescope just come out and enjoy viewing the celestial wonders our telescopes will reveal.

Fall Stars on the Square
Saturday night, October 22, 2011.
7:30 PM until midnight - OK to arrive early to set up telescopes.
Sunset is at 6:45 PM, Astronomical twilight ends at 8:10 PM.
In case of bad weather this event will be postponed until Saturday night, Oct. 29.
